Dr. RD Paranal
Dr. Paranal completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While attending university, RD worked as a personal trainer and as an online coach where he curated training programs tailored to the needs of his clients. His interests in Physical Therapy began with his involvement in sports growing up. He spent time in a neuro rehab facility where he was able to see how much physical therapists can make an impact on the lives of others. Dr. Paranal has also had the opportunity to work with patients across the continuum of care, from ICU, neuro, outpatient, and high level sports performance.

Dr. RD Paranal believes in the “Mamba Mentality” instilled by Kobe Bryant.
He believes in hard work and constantly trying to be the best version of yourself.

Dr. Paranal wants to help everyday people and recreational athletes become free from pain, return to their sports and activities and understand their health. He wants to provide the tools to get you back doing what you love.
Dr. Paranal has special interests in ACL, return to sport rehab, runners and post-op care. He believes in treating the whole person and developing a personal relationship built on trust. He wants to listen to you and understand your goals. His treatment philosophy utilizes the latest evidence-based practice and blends functional strength and conditioning principles to help his patients achieve their goals.
Working at Activa is always a fun time! The team makes an effort to make sure sessions are enjoyable and make the healing process much easier. He loves connecting with patients, getting to know them, and being part of their rehab journey.

When he’s not at Activa Physical Therapy you can find Dr. Paranal spending time with friends and family, training in a gym, eating, and watching lots of basketball. He is an avid recreational basketball and volleyball player and is always down for a game of pick-up. You might also find him at your local Costco on the weekends!
